Upgradeable RAM - This machine has upgradeable RAM that would help its performance. These issues do not need immediate attention but they may indicate future problems. Any help would be appreciated.Įverything takes forever to load. I ran etre and there weren't any major issues. The Macbook air(High Sierra) with a slower processor(1.7 vs 2.5), very little disk space and the same 4g memory is much faster than this mini. However, when I compare this 2012 hardware performance to my old 2009 Imac and my wife's mid 2011 Macbook Air it's not even close. I understand a memory increase will help. I've upgraded the OS from High Sierra to Mojave, no change. I wiped the drive and started all over, same performance. I created new user on the machine without migration assistant, it too is slow. I have tried several things to isolate the issue. When mail is loaded, selecting a message will present a blank message body for several minutes. Launching mail or photos takes 40-50 'bounces' before loading. I used migration assistant to get my my old email, documents, photos etc. I did so because my 2009 iMac could no longer be upgraded to the latest OS. I purchased a used late 2012 mac mini about a year ago.
